John Wilson guilty of a burglary in the Mansion House of Jonathan Fisher in the parish of  Crosthwaite between the hours of ten and two o’clock on the night of 5 May 1739.  The indictment accuses him of stealing linen cloth to the value of 20 shillings.  He was also indicted for the burglary of the dwelling of William Pearson in Bride Kirk and stealing 6 yards of linen valued at 6 shillings.
